E-xercise by SafeLearn is a standalone assessment tool and the ideal solution for companies when in need to identify areas of ECDIS knowledge, which need to be enhanced. The tool was designed and developed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the user, as well as areas of the course which need to be highlighted. The various tasks included in an E-xercise, help the users to prepare for the summative assessments. That would be the TestMe mode, which directs the user towards the final test, thus certification.
The aim behind the development of the E-xercise tool was to replace the Safebridge printed exercise books with a digital self-assessment. In order to achieve this, a new assessment area was developed on the SafeLearn LMS, to host the content. Moreover, replacing paper with digital, caters an easier and faster process, with immediate access and additionally contributing towards a greener future.
