The latest cooperation through SafeLearn for Business makes it possible for Prevention at Sea to now offer their Maritime Software ε-ORB training online through the SafeLearn LMS operated by Safebridge.
Prevention at Sea decided to strategically cooperate with SafeLearn in the field of online training with the aim to train and certify end users as per STCW requirements. The ε-ORB online course is the first in a series of e-courses that will be developed by SafeLearn for Prevention at Sea ship electronic logbooks.
ε-ORB maritime software has been developed by Prevention at Sea (P@S) to enhance efficiency on-board and help demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the international conventions and Flag Registries with regards to the Electronic Oil Record Book. The application ε-ORB is designed in accordance with MARPOL requirements and holds several flag approvals, awards and certificates issued by Classification Societies under MARPOL Annex I reg 17 & 36, MEPC.1/Circ. 736/Rev. 2, as well as MEPC 312(74).
Taking this training course online and also making it accessible on the Safebridge Marketplace enables direct access to thousands of seafarers wishing to acquire the knowledge needed to operate the ε-ORB software while taking the full advantage of learning from anywhere and at any time.
The course is targetted at Ship Officers in charge of handling the Oil Record Book on board and in completing this course they will:
- Learn how to use the Prevention at Sea Maritime Software ε-ORB
- Get familiar with the features and functionalities of the software in compliance with the Regulation I/14.1.4 of the STCW Convention.
The course is now available for direct purchase on the Safebridge Marketplace and is a significant contribution to the overall portfolio of courses offered to seafarers.
