“Maritime Cyprus 2017”, the world’s leading shipping conference and exposition, has been successfully completed with over 850 attendees from the global shipping world. This was the 15th conference and was held in Evagoras Lanitis Centre, Limassol, Cyprus. It was organised by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, the Department of Merchant Shipping, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and the Cyprus Union of Ship-owners.
Safebridge was happy to participate at the Maritime Services Exhibition together with 39 exhibitors from different maritime industries. The exhibition was open for three days and accessible for everybody interested in the shipping industry to attend. It welcomed a wide range of different roles from the maritime companies – from people working in Human Resource Departments to CEOs of Shipping Companies from all over the world.
With this year’s theme “Yesterday’s World, Tomorrow’s Today” the conference focused on the future of shipping. Safebridge, as one of the leaders in the field of Human Resources Competence Management to the maritime industry, was proud to present its cutting-edge IT solutions and latest products
Despite the growing shipping industry and the never-ending emergence of new products, the most in demand product in the market remains the tool for recruiting the best people in the right roles. The Maritime Services Exhibition was a great success and we had an opportunity to showcase our latest solution for hiring and developing employees – CAT (Competence Assessment Tool). Furthermore, at our stand, visitors had a great chance to win a free trial version of CAT with 5 assessments by dropping their business cards. The winner will be selected next week and informed by email.
In his opening address, Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus, referred to the Cyprus shipping sector as the only sector in Cyprus whose size goes far beyond the size of Cyprus as a country and that Cyprus Shipping holds a privileged position on the world’s shipping map. Safebridge is very excited to be part of the shipping industry by offering its innovative solutions for the maritime sector.
