FAQs

Is the certificate acceptable to the controlling authorities?

The interpretation of the requirements for type-specific training is determined by your Flag State. The courseware is manufacturer approved and the certificate, therefore, contains the manufacturer logo and the details of the equipment covered. Your name, date of birth and nationality also appear on the certificate.

How can I be certain that my identity is clearly established?

We currently require that either a webcam is activated or a ‘proctor’ is present during the final test, in order to confirm the identity of the candidate. The individual concerned needs can be stated in advance. This is part of the booking process.

What happens when I have passed the test?

You will be informed immediately that you have passed. Before we issue your certificate, we validate your identity by cross-checking your ID document and the webcam images.
When the validation is successful, we issue your manufacturer approved certificate by e-mail to your company or to you if you have booked as a private individual.
