
Safebridge’s first Tokyo Keiki ECDIS course

Safebridge, the worldwide leading provider of ECDIS e-learning products for the maritime industry, has launched its first type-specific ECDIS training for TOKYO KEIKI INC.
This new EC-8100/8600 ECDIS course as a result of the intensive cooperation with TOKYO KEIKI INC. is fully manufacturer approved.
Tokyo Keiki’s latest type-approved ECDIS integrates the latest hard- and software, a user-friendly graphical interface and complies with the new IEC 61174 performance standards, as well as with the IHO S52 standards. The simple installation of the ECDIS either as single- or dual station configuration is ideal for SOLAS vessels required to retrofit ECDIS in order to meet amended SOLAS requirements.
The ECDIS contains, amongst others:
• New 26-inch wide screen LCD display (EC-8600/EC-8600K)
• INS conformity Alert Management System response
• Fast installation of ENC charts (install time reduced to 1/3)
• Easy software upgrade on-board by ship‘s crew
• Autopilot to build a type approved Track Control System
AIO display support, Radar, AIS & ARPA Overlays and the possibility to connect to the VDR are fully supported on the EC-8100/8600. The EC-8100/8600 online training will be provided with the well-proven pedagogical high-class applications GuideMe, FreePlay and TestMe. As usual, Safebridge will guide its customers through the wide range of features, keep them on track by placing both a fully interactive live ECDIS as well as an exercise book which has been tailored specifically to requirements of the EC-8100/8600 at the user’s disposal. The personal time management guarantees a self-defined, flexible learning from anywhere at any time. Once the Safebridge online account has been activated all control functions – such as an easy training assignment, observation of training progress and training management for officers on board – can be initiated by the software. Additionally, the training will be available as class room training through Safebridge’s assigned training partners and training centres.
