The new generation of ChartWorld ECDIS software – eGlobe G2, which brings the most innovative approach in the digital navigation era is now available with the fresh updates.
ChartWorld’s recent ECDIS update brings the new eGlobe G2 version up to the latest IHO and IMO Standards. One of its main functional improvements – the new alert management which is now fully synchronised with the Bridge Alert Management System (BAMS). It helps to improve the handling, forwarding and presentation of alerts. In addition, the new eGlobe G2 operates with the latest IHO S-52 Presentation Library and is supplemented with a new “category zones of confidence” CATZOC feature in order to make route planning more precise and safe.
“Our responsibility is to provide accurate and effective training for seafarers in order to assure safe navigation. Since the latest version of eGlobe G2 ECDIS training meets the recent IMO standards, it is ready for on-board usage”, said Safebridge managing director Ulf Steden.
The eGlobe G2 delivers an innovative way for seafarers to navigate at sea. The training course is created and designed by experienced nautical officers with thorough knowledge in paperless navigation. Its simplicity and user-friendliness make eGlobe G2 “easy to use”. It offers the possibility of customization in the Sailing mode and provides a standardised layout in S-Mode. Furthermore, eGlobe G2 is a key component of ChartWorld’s eSeries ECDIS-as-a-service solution providing a “one-stop” ECDIS accessibility service for all shipping companies.
Safebridge offers an updated eGlobe G2 training course, with tutorials. In order to get eGlobe G2 certification, the user has to complete 3 main features: GuideMe, FreePlay and TestMe.
